I am Swedish and American, I was really lucky to get to go to the Gothia Cup in Gotenburg, Sweden with the Dallas Texans 99 Girls Red. As a U-15, I was very excited to be playing in the U-18 age group. It was an amazing opportunity and experience. I allowed no goals in this tournament. Our team made it through the first eliminations of the Gothia Cup. I really enjoyed playing in Sweden and having family and friends there to cheer for me and my team.
Traveling to Europe with the Dallas Texans 99 Red Team was real privilege! I was so excited to be selected to go! As a U-15 playing in the U18 age group, I was quite pleased to start 2 games and get 2 shutouts. I also shared play in other games and allowed no goals during this tournament.
After the tournament our team had the opportunity to go to the beach. I had great fun there seeing more of Denmark and enjoying a team barbeque, volleyball, and finding sea stars!
I am now on the Dallas Texans 01G Dallas! I am so excited to be playing in my proper age group. I have been playing up in the 00s for the past 3 years and ready to take on the 01s with my team! We have an excellent group of girls and I can't wait to see what we can do! We will be playing in Lake Highlands Girls Classic League, Division 1 and also in the Inaugural season of the Texas Champions League.
This month I had a great time pushing my keeping skills at the No1 Goal Keeper Camp held at the University of Dallas. It was a lot of hard work, but great fun and a awesome experience getting to meet other keepers from all over Texas, Florida and California. The Goal Keeper Coaches were fantastic! Can't wait until next year for another great week of training!
